Debt Payoff Assistant App Reviews

Good app but could use some tweaks

I do love this app and it is very helpful to help get out of debt. However it works excellently on Static debts, ones where the balance doesnt change, but on my credit cards where Ive charged new debt it doesnt let me update the current balance. You can update the balance but it will then change the Original balance on the date you entered it the first time and not the current month you are in, so on revolving debt its frustrating. I did just find where you can change the starting date, thanks to another helpful review, but it changes the date for all your debt, so youd have to re-enter your data again. It might be nice to see a debt start date for each individual debt.

Best Debt Payoff App

This is the easiest, most straightforward debt payoff app that Ive found. I helps me keep my debts from getting out of control. I do agree that it needs the ability to add amounts to current debt without starting over, and also to factor in one time random payments. Add those two thing, and this app would be perfect.

Nice app!

This app is very nice however if you need to update remaining balance it will do it but place it back from the original creation date???? I tried completely wiping the payee and recreating it but it will still remember original creation date??? This bug renders this app unusable. If this is fixed this would be a 5 * app.

It would be better if the math was right...

Somehow it decided I have an extra $700 in a few months and added a payment thats no where near what I said I had available to pay...so, sure, it looks awesome at first, but once you look at the payment breakdown, its flat-out wrong. No matter how many times I delete and replace that one bill, it wont fix it. If this glitch wasnt such an integral part of the entire idea of their app, they would have received a better rating.

Request

Can you show me the results if I "Snowball" all my loans by half then repeat the process "Snowballing" the remaining half later? How would that affect the total payoff? How would that affect each payoff plan (high interest first, high amount first etc)?

Love this app, but one request

I love everything about this app but could you add a side feature that would allow us to calculate a one time big payment? As in, if I receive a big $5000 Christmas bonus what that would do.

Hate it

Doesnt account for special circumstances such as IBR. Must enter a pre-set satisfactory amount to continue.

Useful

If youre looking for simple and not complicated, then this is the app for you. No need for complicated or frilly because getting out of debt is already a struggle, right?!

Love it!!!

The setup is extremely easy. Ive been struggling trying to figure out where to start to get out of debt. This app has made things easier and extremely visual.

Not bad

Not a bad app. Keeps things organized but for some reason I dont see it deleting the debt Ive paid as the months go on. In settings the debt deletion option is on but it doesnt seem to be actually doing that. Otherwise its a good app.

Useful

This app has the potential to be a great tool for paying off debt. It has a glitch. When you add a new bill it list payoff amounts from the date you downloaded or started using the software. So if you start using it in Feb 2013 but entered a new bill in Oct, the payoff amount would start counting down from Feb giving a false payoff date.
